OS X Lion 單獨在全新硬碟安裝可行嗎？

據 Mac Rumors 的報導，有使用者向 Steve Jobs 查詢可否以全新安裝（Clean Install） 或在全新硬碟直接安裝 OS X Lion，得到以下的回覆是：需要 Snow Leopard 的系統才可安裝 OS X Lion。

以下是兩封查詢電郵：

I'm really exited about Lion, but I'm a bit anxious about the absence of any physical media in the event of a crash where I need to do a clean install. Will Lion still provide a way to make a bootable image in the event that I need to start from scratch?”

得到的回覆是：

You can clean install Snow Leopaard [sic] first.

簡單而言，即是要安裝先 Snow Leopard 才可升級……，但回覆中的「Snow Leopaard」串錯了字，將會是真是假的回覆呢？

另一則電郵是：
“Dear Mr. Jobs,

I just wanted to know if there will be a way to install Lion on a new HDD/SSD without previously installing 10.6?

Regards,

Andreas Dantz”

同樣得到的回覆是：

“Sorry, no.

如資料屬實，看來要進行升級或全新安裝，10.6＋10.7 的組合是走不開……，但又似乎與 Apple Inc. 的簡單和容易相違了……，所以僅供參考就算，不用認真。
